Product Description

Factory Bosman Plant Growth Regulator Cyanamide 50% SL
Factory Bosman Plant Growth Regulator Cyanamide 50% SL

Information:
Hydrogen cyanamide is a plant growth regulator that will stimulate more uniform budbreak on many deciduous plants. More uniform budbreak will occur in plants that have received their full chill hour requirement or somewhat less than their full dormancy. Promoting more uniform budbreak in the spring can have significant benefit in promoting more uniform flowering and more uniform maturity at harvest.

Application 1) Cyanamide 50% solution (CAS No.: 420-04-2) is widely used as an agricultural plant growth regulator, especially used as defoliant of fruit plants and non-toxic insecticide, bud dormancy breaking chemical.
2) Cyanamide 50% solution (CAS No.: 420-04-2) is used on several deciduous fruit crops such as grapes, apples, pears, plums, peaches and nectarines, Kiwi Fruit, cherry and many kinds of deciduous plants.
3) Cyanamide 50%, 30% and cyanamide 95%min (CAS No.: 420-04-2) is also used as Intermediate of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, dye, pigment and cyanuramide.
4) Cyanamide 50% solution (CAS No.: 420-04-2) can be used as water purification agent of food additive.

Application:
Crop Rate Critical comments
Apple 2-3L/100L water 30 days before normal bud swell, or 35 days before normal budbreak. In orchards having more than one variety, spray according to anticipated budbreak timing of the earliest variety in an interplanted orchard, unless each variety can be sprayed separately without significant drift or overspray contacting previously sprayed varieties or nontarget varieties. When budbreak begins to occur, the bloom period can be compressed to a few days depending upon the weather. In order to assure proper pollination, a sufficient number of beehives of suitable strength to assure adequate pollination must be set in the orchard before first blossom activity is observed. Artificial pollination may be advised when bee activity is limited. Increased budbreak uniformity will also facilitate chemical thinning of fruit and promote greater uniformity of fruit maturity at harvest.
Blackberries 1.5-3L/100L water Application should be made 30 days or more before normal budbreak and before new green growth appears. Budbreak and the rate of foliage and flower development are increased by hydrogen cyanamide even though full dormancy may not have been met. The more chill hours that can be accumulated, generally the better the bloom and fruit set. Since hydrogen cyanamide typically advances budbreak, the risk of Spring freeze damage is increased.
Table grape 3-5L/100L water Apply to dormant canes, cordons or trees, using sufficient spray volume to ensure thorough coverage of all buds. Do not apply the chemical within 2 weeks of anticipated natural bud break of kiwi fruit. Bud break will usually occur 30-35 days later, although if warm conditions occur after application, bud break could occur 14-21 days later.
Note: New shoots may be damaged by frost. If applied earlier than 35 days before natural bud break, low temperatures at flowering may reduce fruit set. Lower dose rates should be used when there has been a cold winter to naturally chill the crop.
Wine grape 2-3L/100L water
Kiwi fruit 4-6L/100L For earlier than normal budbreak, make the application earlier than four weeks prior to normal budbreak.
Some yellowing on the first leaves may appear but the developing growth will be normal.
In determining to apply hydrogen cyanamide to promote earlier than normal budbreak the user should be aware that growing buds and shoots are susceptible to frost and may be killed or damaged by freezing temperatures
