Pyraclostrobin NOMENCLATURE
Common name pyraclostrobine ((f) F-ISO); pyraclostrobin (BSI, E-ISO)
IUPAC name methyl N-{2-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)pyrazol-3-yloxymethyl]phenyl}(N-methoxy)carbamate
Chemical Abstracts name methyl [2-[[[1-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]oxy]methyl]phenyl]methoxycarbamate
CAS RN [175013-18-0]

Pyraclostrobin APPLICATIONS
Pyraclostrobin Biochemistry Quinone outside Inhibitor. Inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer at the cytochrome bc1 complex.

Pyraclostrobin Mode of action Fungicide with protectant, curative and translaminar properties.

Pyraclostrobin Uses Control of major plant pathogens, such as Septoria tritici, Puccinia spp., Drechslera tritici-repentis and Pyrenophora teres in cereals, Mycosphaerella spp. in peanuts, Septoria glycines, Cercospora kikuchii and Phakopsora pachyrhizi in soya beans, Plasmopara viticola and Uncinula necator in grapes, Phytophthora infestans and Alternaria solani in potatoes and tomatoes, Mycosphaerella fijiensis in bananas, Elsinoë fawcettii and Guignardia citricarpa in citrus, and Rhizoctonia solani and Pythium aphanidermatum in turf. Application rates c. 50-250 g/ha for food crops and 280-560 g/ha for turf.

Boscalid NOMENCLATURE
Common name boscalide ( (m) F-ISO); boscalid (BSI, E-ISO)
IUPAC name 2-chloro-N-(4′-chlorobiphenyl-2-yl)nicotinamide
Chemical Abstracts name 2-chloro-N-(4′-chloro[1,1′-biphenyl]-2-yl)-3-pyridinecarboxamide  Other names nicobifen (former provisional ISO name)
CAS RN [188425-85-6]

Boscalid APPLICATIONS
Boscalid Biochemistry SDHI: inhibits succinate ubiquinone reductase (also known as complex II), in the mitochondrial electron transport chain.

Boscalid Mode of action Foliar fungicide, with translaminar and acropetal movement within the plant leaf, providing preventive and, in some cases, curative action. Inhibits spore germination, germ tube elongation and is also effective on all other stages of fungal development.

Boscalid Uses For control of powdery mildews, Alternaria spp., Botrytis spp., Sclerotinia spp., Mycosphaerella spp., and Monilinia spp. on grapes, turf, and a range of fruit, vegetables and ornamentals. Also used in mixture in arable crops, including cereals, rape, peanuts and potatoes.
