Stability Hydrolysed rapidly in alkaline media, and more slowly in neutral and acidic media. DT50 (tested under EPA guidelines) (25º C ) 4 d (pH 7), the products being 2, 3-isopropylidenedioxyphenol, methylamine and carbon dioxide. Stable to light and heat.
Toxicity Acute oral LD50 for rats 40-156, mice 45, Guinea pigs 35, rabbits 35 40 mg/kg.
Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats 566-800 mg/kg. Non-irritating to skin and eyes.
Purpose: Active against many public health, industrial and storage pests, such as Formicidae, Blattodea, Culicidae, Muscidae, Siphonaptera. Particularly useful inside buildings, due to its Iow odour and lack of corrosive and staining properties. Also used in turf and ornamentals for control of a broad spectrum of pests. In agriculture, it is used as a seed treatment and in granular formulations for the control of soil dwelling pests and some foliar pests (Agriotes spp, Atomaria linearis, Oscinella frit), particularly in maize and sugar beet. Also used as a foliar spray on other crops to control Thysanoptera and other pests. Phytotoxicity Non phytotoxic when used as directed. Not to be used on coleus.
Applications It is mainly used to control cockroaches, crickets, ants, bedbugs and other health pests. It can also be used as soil treatment to control underground pests. The preparation has powder and wettable powder.

Bendiocarb is a carbamate insecticide, which is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It has the effects of touch killing and stomach poisoning, and has certain internal absorption in plants. The insecticide is widely used to control the damage of tassinoptera and other pests by foliar spray. It can also be used as seed treatment agent and granule to control soil pests.
             It is used to control mosquitoes, flies, wasps, ants, fleas, cockroaches, silverfish, ticks and other pests in homes, industrial plants, and food storage sites. In agriculture it is used against a variety of insects, especially those in the soil. Bendiocarb is also used as a seed treatment on sugar beets and maize and against snails and slugs .Pesticides containing Bendiocarb are formulated as dusts, granules, ultra- low volume sprays, and as wettable powders.
